Prof. Dr. dr. Dessy R. Emril, Sp.N(K) is a Professor and Consultant Neurologist in Pain Management at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK), combining academic excellence with national medical leadership.

Her journey of success is built upon an exceptional educational foundation, achieving Cumlaude honors throughout—ranging from Medical Doctor (dr.) at Universitas Syiah Kuala (2000), Neurology Specialist at Universitas Indonesia (2006), to earning her Doctorate degree (Dr.) PhD in Medical Sciences at Universitas Gadjah Mada (2014).

Her dedication to global medical standards is further reinforced through international fellowship programs at Pain Management Center, Singapore General Hospital (2009) and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at National Taiwan University Hospital (2016). As Chair of the Pain Study Group of the Indonesian Neurological Association (PERDOSNI) since 2019, National Examiner for practical neurology, and medical policy drafter for the Indonesian Medical Council (KKI), she consistently inspires and leads the transformation of neurology and pain management practices in Indonesia.
